Grilled Tuna Sandwiches

Ginger and orange create the wow in grilled tuna for sandwiches.

Orange-Ginger Marinade
2tablespoons soy sauce
1tablespoon sesame or vegetable oil
1tablespoon orange juice
1teaspoon grated gingerroot or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

4tuna steaks, about 4 ounces each
3tablespoons mayonnaise or salad dressing
4kaiser or sandwich buns, split
Lettuce leaves
1large tomato, sliced
1/2medium cucumber, thinly sliced

1.In ungreased 8-inch square glass baking dish, mix all marinade ingredients; remove 1 tablespoon marinade and reserve. Add tuna to marinade; turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate at least 15 minutes but no longer than 2 hours.
2.Spray grill rack with cooking spray. Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat. Remove tuna from marinade; discard marinade. Cover and grill tuna over medium heat about 10 minutes, turning once, until fish flakes easily with fork.
3.Mix reserved 1 tablespoon marinade and the mayonnaise; spread on cut sides of buns. Layer lettuce, tuna, tomato and cucumber in each bun.

Substitution
Use your favorite buns in place of the kaiser rolls.
Success
Fish generally takes about 10 minutes to grill for each inch of thickness. Add more time if the steaks are thicker, or grill the fish for slightly less time if the pieces are thinner.
