Chocolate Malt-Cherry Mix

Favorite malt flavors of chocolate and cherry are married in a no-bake crunchy snack.

2cups Corn Chex® cereal
2cups Rice Chex® cereal
2cups Wheat Chex® cereal
1cup dry-roasted peanuts
1cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/4cup butter or margarine
1cup natural-flavor malted milk powder
2cups miniature marshmallows
1 1/2cups coarsely chopped malted milk balls
1/2cup dried cherries, chopped
1.In large bowl, mix cereals and peanuts.
2.In 1-quart saucepan, heat chocolate chips and butter over low heat, stirring occasionally, until melted and blended. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated.
3.Gradually stir in malted milk powder until evenly coated. Stir in remaining ingredients. Store in airtight container.
High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): No changes.
Make the Most of This Recipe
Substitution
Use 6 cups Multi-Grain Chex® cereal instead of the three different types, if you like.
Time Saver
Malted milk balls can be coarsely chopped in a food processor.
