Chex® Breakfast-to-Go

Designed to be made ahead for those on the go, this cereal, fruit and nut mixture is a delicious medley of crunchy and sweet.

1/4cup sugar
1/2teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/3cup butter or margarine
1cup Corn Chex® cereal
1cup Rice Chex® cereal
1cup Wheat Chex® cereal
1cup Honey Nut Cheerios® cereal
3/4cup toasted sliced almonds
1cup dried banana chips
1/2cup dried blueberries or raisins
1.In small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.
2.In large microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in cereals and almonds until evenly coated. Microwave uncovered on High 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute.
3.Stir in sugar mixture and banana chips until evenly coated. Microwave uncovered on High 1 minute. Spread on paper towels; cool about 15 minutes. Place in serving bowl; stir in blueberries. Store in airtight container.
Oven Directions: Heat oven to 300°F. In small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon. In ungreased 13x9-inch pan, melt butter in oven. Stir in cereals and almonds until evenly coated. Bake uncovered 15 minutes. Stir in sugar mixture and banana chips until evenly coated; bake an additional 15 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool, about 15 minutes. Place in serving bowl; stir in blueberries. Store in airtight container.

Substitution
