1cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4cup packed brown sugar
1/2cup granulated sugar
2eggs
1cup Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
1/2cup unsweetened baking cocoa
1teaspoon baking soda
1/4teaspoon salt
1cup Fiber One® original bran cereal
1 1/2cups quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats
3/4cup white vanilla baking chips

Total Time: 3 hours 10 min
1.Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, stir together butter, sugars and eggs. In small bowl, stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; stir into butter mixture. Stir in cereal, oats and baking chips.
2.Onto ungreased cookie sheets, drop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart.
3.Bake 9 minutes. Cool 1 to 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely before storing in tightly covered container.
High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Increase flour to 1 1/3 cups.

For double chocolate cookies, replace the vanilla chips with semisweet or dark chocolate chips.
