Endless variations: Garlic powder and salt sprinkled in the butter before turning dough yields great garlicky sticks.Poppy seeds, sesame seeds or onion flakes sprinkled on top are a savory change."

"This is the recipe that I have based my apple pies on for 25 years. The only differences are: 1) I use more cinnamon than the recipe calls for.2) I use milk on the top of the crust before I sprinkle the sugar on, it promotes a more golden brown crust. (A trick my grandma taught me.)People absolutely love my apple pie, so I know it will please your friends and family, too."
