Raspberry Poke Cake
"Cake mixes of today are very different from the ones 20 - 30 years ago. Betty Crocker and Pillsbury cake mixes come with "pudding in the mix". Duncan Hines does not. Adding a four serving package of instant pudding to the first two mixes are not necessary. It probably would be OK for the Duncan Hines, and might actually help to make the poke cake less soggy. Poke cakes really are desserts that bring me back to my youth. Even if yours turns out a little soggy, serve it in a bowl. It will still taste wonderful. My only other tip is not to put the Kool Whip on until the very last minute. It is such a fun cake."

Three-Berry Shortcakes
"My mom used to make shortcake from Bisquick back in the late 40's. It was great them and it is still great. Back then you could not get fresh fruit all year long so in the Winter she would make shortcake out of canned peaches or somethimes fruit cocktail. My favorite is fresh peaches with raspberries."

Herb Popovers
"These turned out excellent. I made them to be served along with homemade lasagna. The only thing I changed was to add a little Italian seasoning mix to the basil."
