Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore This recipe was delicious. I'd never cut up a whole chicken before so that took some time to learn, but it turned out really well and I was very pleased - the meat literally fell right off the bone and was so tender. I browned the meat in the skillet first and then cooked on low for 5 hours, and it was perfect. A few changes I made: no onions (personal preference), 3 cloves of garlic to make up for the lack of onions, and 30 minutes before taking the mix out of the crock pot I added spaghetti sauce to thicken it a little. Served over linguine for a dinner party and everyone raved about it! Next time I make it I'll definitely also have lots of bread to soak up the wonderful sauce!
