"Sounds like you do really important work. Feeding many with very little is a challenge. The key here is combining fiber (maximize it) to create a filling dish and to add protein (even a little bit) to provide "stick to the ribs" satisfaction. Good foods"

No More PB&J - but THEN what??
"PB&J can be a great lunch. Go for lower sugar jelly and wheat (or the new white wheat) bread if you can. Lower fat peanut butter is a good alternative as well. The protein of the peanut butter is helpful for active kids."

"I agree that cookies and brownies and good stuff have a place among the foods we eat. Katja has more ideas on snacks to share: "I think snacks should be thought of as mini-meals, not just grazing on crackers and juice. Good options are PB&J and a glass"
