Sherried Greens with Fruit and Blue Cheese
"What a delicious salad! I didn't have time to prepare the dressing so I just bought a bottle of Raspberry Vinaigrette and it was "umwah!" perfect. Don't skimp on the actual salad ingredients though because ALL of the flavors add something to this dish. I actually added candied pecans which, in combination with the blue cheese, knocked my socks off! My husband and I gobbled it up."

Green Chile, Chicken and Bean Chili
"I don't have a dutch oven so I just used my large heavy stockpot and it came out just fine. I made this chili on a rainy day and it was warming, unique, filling, and delicious. My hubby didn't care for the color but there were no other complaints. This is perfect with the Green Chile Cornbread recipe but also great with plain Jiffy."

"This was flavorful and delicious!!! I rubbed the chicken with the specified seasonings the night before and it was full of flavor the next day. I used brown rice seasoned with chicken broth and garnished it with a spoonful of the salsa which was awesome. My husband took it for lunch the next day and texted me 3 times with compliments!"

Lemon Velvet Cream Cake
"This cake was light and simple with a refreshing lemon flavor. I used heavy whipping cream (from good ole Walmart) and I had to blend the icing for several minutes on high speed before it was stiff enough to spread. I stored it in the fridge so it wouldn't get runny and we enjoyed it for several days. It's so light you'll always have room left for a slice. Yummy!"

Chicken Pasta Salad with Grapes and Poppy Seed Dressing
Rating:
I prepared this as a side dish with dinner but it got the most compliments. This is a great twist to plain pasta salad and the different flavors and textures are wonderful. I ate it for lunch the next day alongside my sandwich and it really made my lunch pop!
