"I need to add some comments to my review yesterday: I used a 6 qt oven roaster instead of a traditional crock pot. I cooked for 7 hrs between 175-200 degrees. This recipe would be better catagorized as a beef stew rather than a soup. It is completely thick enough to eat with a fork. "
