Strawberry Margarita Cake
"This was the first time I made the cake so I made the actual cake exactly how it says to make it. I let it cool for about 20 minutes then I took the bottom of a wooden spoon and poked holes all over the cake about an inch apart. The cake wasn't strawberry enough to me so I poured some extra margarita mix all over the unfrosted cake, covered it, and put it in the fridge for about 2 hours to let it soak in. The longer you leave it, the better it will be. When the cake cooled down, I made the frosting the same way, but I also added a container of Yoplait Key Lime flavored yogurt to the whipped topping along with the zest. The lime flavor was still pretty subtle so I definitely think this is a much needed step as the whipped topping with the zest is not "limey" enough. The cake was awesome and moist and the flavors worked very well together. Everyone loved it, to include myself :) I think next time I will actually puree some strawberries and sugar and pour it on instead of the margarita mix, but the mix was still pretty darn good. The three spoons were for the original recipe. After changes, it would be a 5. "

Pumpkin Bars
"These are definitely 5 Star Pumpkin Bars! I'm not a big fan of raisins so I omitted them and these were great! I was going to attempt to make a Pumpkin Roll for the first time but when I saw this recipe, I thought that this was basically a pumpkin roll without the hassle of making the actual roll (much easier) so I did and it was so moist, yummy, and very simple to make! Everyone was talking about how great these were and no one had just one bar, many had two or three and some even more (like me, who ate a whole row :-) Definitely a keeper recipe and if you are reading this, stop reading and go make these ASAP!"

Gyros
"I am a very big fan of gyros and I must say that I was very pleased with the recipe. I am originally from a city where ethnic foods were very easy to come by, but my career forced me to move to a very small town to where american and mexican food make up the majority. So I started to browse this site and actually just happened to stumble across the recipe and I had to try it. As with any recipe, you will adjust it according to your taste. Personally, I cannot stand pita pockets and it takes away from the traditional taste of the gyro. Flat pita bread, brushed with oil and heated in a frying pan will definitely make a difference in the taste. You can normally find these in the grocery store or Walmart. I also like to use sour cream instead of yogurt when making the sauce. Also like the other postings before, I actually didn''t care for the patties. When I made the patties, I actually cut them in the pan with the spatula into a few strips. But, I thank the person who posted this recipe. I do really like it and it tastes really good making them from scratch like this. And now I can have gyros whenever I want. Thanks!"
