Banana Flip Cookies
"The cookies are delicious. Could use a little more banana flavor, but that's just a personal preference. The filling, however, was just kind of nasty. Maybe it's because I didn't use that creme yogurt, but I couldn't get it to come together and three cups of sugar makes it way too sweet, but any less and it's not stiff enough. I can't even imagine how sweet it might be with the filling and the dusting sugar. *shivers* If you want to fill the cookies, I suggest finding a good recipe for banana whoopie pie filling. Or just use marshmallow filling and chopped bananas. Again, the cookies are absolutely delicious, but stay away from the filling."

"SnowJo: If you want to skip the Splenda, use 1 1/2 cup sugar. Since Splenda is sweeter than sugar, you might also want to dust the brownies with a little powdered sugar after they've cooled."

red velvet whoopie pies
"When we think of whoopie pies, we think of the traditional fluffy, chocolate cake with marshmallow filling. But a "non-traditional" whoopie pie isn't always going to come out the same way. In my experience, red velvet whoopies almost always come out much"

Help with logistics of Princess doll cake
"Arts and crafts stores that having baking sections (like Michaels) tend to carry inexpensive cardboard cake boxes. Make sure that the cake is on carboard or a cake round, as these boxes are a bit flimsy, and always hold it with two hands. If the cake"

Balsamic Chicken
Rating:
Simple. Easy. Tasty. It's the perfect mid-week meal. The hardest part is zesting the lemon. Marinate the chicken the night before, and you have dinner ready in 20 minutes. My brother said that I could "make it again," which equals the highest praise.

Italian Herb Pasta Salad
Rating:
Wonderful, tasty, and super easy to make. Used tri-color rotini and nixed the mushrooms since we're not huge fans. Earned rave reviews from my family. And it doesn't dry out like dressing-based pasta salads have a tendency to do, even leftover a few days later. A+

Italian Chicken Bracciole
Rating:
The stuffing was delicious, no doubt about that, but the chicken thighs couldn't hold very much of it. The chicken itself ended up being a little bland. Easy enough to make, just be sure to budget yourself enough time. Looks and smells phenomenal.

Turkey and Wild Rice Soup
Rating:
This recipe is delicious and so easy to make. I didn't have any turkey on hand, so I cooked a pound of chicken thighs in the oven before-hand. The dish got rave reviews from my family
