Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings I loved this recipe. I made a few changes: substituted onion soup mix, added a small onion, left out the celery, and put the peas in at the beginning. I also sprinkled some garlic salt and ground cayenne pepper. Not too much, just enough to add a little heat. BUT my husband and his friend weren't fans. They said it wasn't bad, but that I shouldn't cook it again. So I guess this one depends on what type of food you like..
