"I didn't have any "egg product" so made this without it, had the "soggy" problem other people describe. I got sidetracked so the steaks simmered for 10-15 minutes longer than called for in the recipe and they firmed up. My thought is the mushrooms lose a lot of water as they cook, and that is what is causing the sogginess. I look forward to trying this recipe again with the addition of onions as others have done. I will simmer uncovered to let the water from the mushrooms and onions boil off."

"I love that they touted these as great for bake sales.. I wouldn''t THINK of taking the time to do these for MYSELF! Glad you ladies added your comments about other flavors for the cakes and filling; I REALLY want to do a potpourri of these for my church now! I agree with Buffy these could get messy with the filling... diana68 or anyone, how do you cut the hole in the top without tearing the whole cupcake apart? Tx!"
