Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff Just cooked this today...my husband said it was way too salty. I did follow a suggestion of adding 1/2 T. of sea salt, onion & garlic powder. I only added 1/2 t. so next time I will not add any salt. My son doesn't like to see mushrooms in things so I did not add the sliced mushrooms and I pureed the golden mushroom soup. Round steak was my beef of choice and I only added 1/2 C minced onion. I did not add cream cheese since I didn't have any and only about 1/4 C. sour cream. Also, I added 4 dashes of Worcestershire sauce - that probably added to the saltiness. I liked the easy way to prepare it all in the crock pot so when I try this again I'll adjust the salt and maybe review it again!

30-Minute Beer Cheese Soup Our family has enjoyed this soup for years! But...it's once a year-twice at the most so I don't fret about the contents. We always serve this for our evening meal on Christmas Eve after church. My kids expect it and now that some are grown they have shared the recipe with their friends. It holds well in the crock pot on low and just add more chicken broth to thin it if it becomes too thick. We have frozen this soup too - again thin it with broth as needed.

Peanut Butter Silk Cake I found this recipe early 12/10 and decided to make it for my husband's Christmas bday - didn't get to do it. Then meant to make it for my son's bday in Feb.- no go either! Finally made it this weekend for Mother's Day. What a hit! My layers are not lovely but who cares since the flavor is out of this world. Some guests even had it for breakfast this morning. I did use cool whip instead of whipped cream and it turned out great. Awesome cake - worth the little bit of extra effort.

Mom's Macaroni and Cheese I grew up eating this delicious mac & cheese recipe. Mom would put it into those little aluminum pie tins and freeze them. We could fix ourselves a tasty, healthy snack anytime we were hungry. Try dehydrated onion (they are really small and most won't notice) or use onion powder to get that additional depth of flavor.
