"In reply to blondies: I havent made this yet but yes..it sits and soaks all night..I have made recipes similar to this..the sitting softens the noodles and absorbs the liquid so by the time you put it in the oven it is basically ready..Just so you know..I have found items made like this the pasta can end up a little more al dente than you would probably do if you boiled them ahead. I have had times where they ended up really al dente and other times just right. It depends alot on the type of pasta used and how much liquid there is to absorb but you cant tell until you try it once to know whether to adjust it the next time."

"I agree with Annie74..Too many times I have read commentary about recipes people never even tried, commentary about nutrition or ingredients that they had issue with etc.Facebook is a good place for stuff like that.It is quite annoying to see negative reviews based on personal opinion and not fact based on actually making it.In this case the person did make it and tried it so I read their review and took it into consideration.I did try this for my niece and she liked it very much.It is something I would make for a treat.Luckily her favorite is yellow cake which fits right in."

"I had to laugh at a previous review that complained this was noodles and cheese..I thought that was what Mac and Cheese was..I am not quite sure what they expected. That is like making Chicken Noodle soup and expecting it to be something other than noodle soup. I thought it was very good..I loved the cheeses and had very little left over.."

"I thought this was good..I do plan to add more bacon next time..I agree with several other posters about those who continually flood these reviews with their opinions of nutritional content or ingredients. This is for those who have tried and tasted it.There are community boards for those comments. For one if you dont like the numbers or ingredients simply close the window. No comment is necessary. Second, there are websites out there for healthy eating. If they are so worried about the nutritional contents why are they even looking on a site like Betty Crocker website? I wish these websites would stipulate that you have to actually TRY the recipe to comment or provide a link to a comment board for their opinions.Everything is relative to each person and things are ok in moderation and at the very least most recipes are adaptable. The negative reviews left by those who dont try it alter the whole rating system for no reason.Just my opinion."

I have not tried this yet and I usually dont write anything about something I have not tried but was wondering if whole milk/fat ingredients would work with this or is it one of those types that the results are dependent on the fat content etc? I used to only use skim and low fat ingredients but recently starting using regular items again because I dont use them very often or very much at a time and didnt think they would hurt due to the amounts I use.

I wish Betty Crocker would put a disclaimer on the recipe reviews that you have to actually TRY the recipe before leaving a comment and direct commentary about nutritional information and ingredients to the community boards. It is one of my pet peeves that people leave comments that affect the ratings when they never tried it and just want to push their nutritional information on others. I eat in moderation so an occasional indulgence doesnt hurt. I thought this was good. I love cream cheese so it would be hard for me not to like it. I had my brother over as a guest and he ate a good chunk of what was left and he loved it and took what was left home!
