"I just want to make a suggestion, if you don't mind. Since this recipe is included in the Gluten Free selections as well, would you be open to the idea of putting a stronger reminder next to the wording about adding pretzels as a variation? I know that there's a caveat in the next paragraph, but some folks new to the GF lifestyle might not make the connection, and could add pretzels [which are not gf] because it looks as if they're part of a GF recipe--not a generic recipe that meets the GF standard in only its original form. Maybe I'm a nitpicker, but I'm also a writer who has to often edit content for the average reader, and this small detail flagged immediately as possibly implying that pretzels are safe. Thanks!"

"I've only been GF for three weeks, so this is my first experience with BC GF mixes. I've been so sick of eating fruit or pudding for dessert! LOL. Nothing else in the house has been safe--or appealing. I tried this recipe today as a rough template for recreating my old scratch carrot cake: I did without the nutmeg, vanilla and pecans, and instead added ground cloves, dark brown sugar and pureed pineapple. I frosted it with only cream cheese, vanilla and confectioner's sugar. After the first bite, I have to say that this is such a genuine treat after a long dessert drought! While the color is lighter and the texture is smoother--it tastes SO much like my old favorite! You'd never know that this is gluten free cake. Good job, Betty Crocker. I can hardly wait for the GF Bisquick."
