"Came out pretty good though the dough was drier than I expected. The texture lends itself to forming little balls with the spoon and your hand. Also, I added nuts and substituted 1/2 cup of butter with peanut butter. Yum!"

"Didn't add the fruit or nuts. Grated some fresh ginger instead of the dried. Added some vanilla. Used 1 1/2 cups of flour and 1/2 cup of corn meal. Yum!"

"EASY, delicious with ingredients you don't have to run out and buy. Next time I'll throw in grated coconut and Barbados Mount Gay Rum to make it a PINA COLADA Upside Down Cake. :)"

"Great recipe! I recommend flavouring your crust with dried thyme, seasoning salt and chili powder. Also, you could use half that bacon and add sausage, salami or ham. Definitely veggies like fresh chili peppers, broccoli and tomatoes work well."

"Very good recipe that works well with substitutions. I used sweet potatoes instead of pumpkin. Since I didn't have pumpkin spice I used ground clove and ground spice. I thought adding some of the spices to the dough for the pastry jazzed it up too. I "fattened" it up by using 2 whole eggs instead of the egg substitutes or just the whites."
