They came out perfect just like the picture shows, So then we tried them using a lemon cake mix,and lemon extract instead of vanilla. Excellent again. They got rave reviews at my daughter's open house, From that I got a request to make these for a fundraiser. They wanted something to match a Hawaiian theme. So I tried these using a vanilla cake mix and 1 teaspoon of coconut extract and 1 teaspoon of almond extract. Then I rolled each cookie ball in shredded coconut and baked as usual. These were also so good. I don't think you can go wrong with this recipe. In my opinion, any of flavor of cake mix would be great. And so easy. Minimal measuring and mixing, and you've got fresh cookies in no time.
