"Check the picture and then read the directions through....BC, this is NOT a photo of the end result!! The crust will not end up "flaky" and crisp on the BOTTOM of the pan - there are no crescent rolls called for on top in the BC directions, yet they are shown in the photo. I have made a similar recipe a few times with good results...same beef, sauce and cheese measurements, but put beef/sauce combo in pie plate first, then top with cheese, then TOP with crescent rolls. Bake same as this recipe. MUCH better results...this original recipe per BC will come out with gooey base crust. (Also try with ground turkey and enough bbq sauce to make it "wet"...very good!)"

"This recipe was a HUGE hit at our July 4th family party - this was the first item on the dessert table to be wiped out in minutes! Used regular brownie mix (didn't need gluten-free). The frosting doesn't fare well if left sitting for too long unless refrigerated until just before serving. Also, I read that other reviewers added the apple jelly to the cream cheese, but the purpose of brushing it on is to glaze the fruit; don't mix it in! Thin the jelly (I used peach as I didn't have apple) and brush it on RIGHT BEFORE serving, left sitting for too long will make a runny mess. Other reviewers also added chocolate to the top; I believe this would make this dessert too sweet, almost unpalatable. This works in a 9x13" pan as well."

"Try this with a box of Spice cake mix and eliminate the apple pie spice...YUM! This dessert would be just fine with just whipped topping and caramel if frosting isn't added."
