Slow Cooker North Woods Wild Rice Soup
"I thought the soup was very tasty. I love mushrooms, so I sauteed some and added them at the same time as the peas. I didn't have sherry so I left that out. Next time I will add it just to see what it adds."

Strawberries and Cream Cake
"I have this recipe from a calendar, and it called for 10 oz of frozen strawberries (thawed) and didn''t have any oil. The cake was very pretty, but I was underwhelmed by the strawberry flavor. Expecially with the added berries, I was expecting it to taste really like strawberries, but the flavor was very mild."

Lemon-Orange Cake
"I made this for Mother''s Day. It was great! The citrus flavor was very refreshing, and not over-powering. It was a hit. And it really wasn''t difficult. I will make this again."

Oven-Roasted Turkey Breast
"I made this for Easter and everyone loved it. I had to make some changes due to diet requirements and time restraints: I omitted the salt and butter (increasing the amount of wine to cover it). I baked it with all the ingredients in a covered baker while we were at Church. The result was very moist and flavorful."

Easter Bunny Cake
"I made this for the first time this weekend. My husband laughed at the bunny, but after frosting it and decorating it, it turned out pretty well.I put the food coloring and coconut in a plastic baggy. Worked great and no clean up.This was my first time using the carrot cake box mix. It was great. It was also the first time I used canned cream cheese frosting. It was pretty good, but I prefer homemade frosting."

Key Lime Coconut Angel Cake
Rating:
I just made this last night and thought it was fabulous! My in-laws thought so too. Perfect for spring.I got the recipe from a Betty Crocker calendar and it called for a 8 oz tub of whipped topping. I did not have any problems with the consistancy of the filling. Next time I might omit the coconut, while added good flavoring, I liked the the cake without it.

Zesty White Bean Burgers
Rating:
The recipe was very easy and fast. However, I felt like it was lacking in the flavor department. Maybe with a little more spice of some kind and no bun they would be ok.

Havarti-Cheddar Fondue
Rating:
This was a very tasty fondue (great cheese flavor), and very easy to make. Mine was a little thicker than I would have liked, but I think that was my fault... may have added too much cheese. I made mine in a sauce pan since I didn''t have a fondue pot. I kept the temp on low and it worked just fine.We used mushrooms, red bell pepper, broccoli, cauliflower and bread and all were great in the dip.
