"Our grill is put away for the winter, so we tried broiling these in the oven. Not recommended, however we think there should be some filling in the mixture to hold the burgers together on the grill. The flavor and texture was excellent, so we look forward to a little tweaking and better results on the gas grill."

"We tried this recipe in a slow cooker by adding 1.5 cups of beef broth and it turned out very well."

"We have made this stew several times and with a few slight tweaks it becomes excellent. We added two envelopes of taco seasoning and a can of mild green chilis to the basic receipe and it seemed to add just enough additional spice to make it really good."

"We've cooked this recipe several times, and it only gets better each time we do it. This is my wife's favorite dish, and it is just as good as leftovers as it does not acquire refrigerator taste. We stuck to the recipe carefully, and every time we cooked, it was perfect. The chicken and shrimp were exceptionally well done and delicious."
