Fresh Garden Salsa
This is very similar to a recipe I have been using for years and every time I bring this out I get rave reviews. I use 3-4 Roma tomatoes in place of one large tomato..I prefer the meatier consistency of the Roma. Also, I use a yellow pepper in place of the green pepper..I think it's a little sweeter. I use only lime juice, no vinegar and lots of cilantro. Again, depending on the size of the jalapeno pepper I'll use more than one. Serve this alongside homemade tortilla chips..it's a keeper.

Ooey Gooey Caramel Cake
Have not tried this recipe (yet) but wanted to comment about the dulce de leche...if there is a Mexican (Spanish, Latin) market in your area you're sure to find it there. But the homemade version sounds wonderful and without a lot of fuss. I will be back to post my review after I prepare this recipe..later today!

Quick Praline Bars
These were great; I've made them twice now. The first time I prepared the recipe as it is written. The second time I made them using cinnamon graham crackers...sprinkled with chopped walnuts AND mini chocolate chips before pouring on the sugar mixture. That small change would give this recipe five spoons! Next time I may experiment with a saltine cracker..I love that salty-sweet combination.

Cherry Swirl Coffee Cake
I first found this recipe many years ago as a newlywed, and my family of four request it all the time. I especially enjoy "tweaking" it to fit my families preferences by using fruit preserves, I often use more than one on a cake. This is a great recipe for Sunday morning, it can be thrown together very quickly...and who doesn't like a fresh from the oven coffee cake?

Bisquick® Cherry-Chocolate Chip Scones
Fabulous recipe! My family loves the cherry and chocolate combination. Made this the first time for Sunday morning breakfast when my daughter was home from college for the weekend..they are now a family favorite.

I have actually prepared this recipe twice since finding it a week ago. Initially, I prepared it as written and the second time I "tweaked" it according to my families preference. I diced the zucchini instead of slicing. After chopping the onion, I added chopped roasted garlic and chopped green chiles and sauteed all along with 2tsp ground cumin and 2tsp creole seasoning and the 1/2tsp+ of sea salt and fresh ground pepper. I also used a combination of parmesan and Gruyere cheese and added some fresh bacon bits (for my meat-loving 17 year old son). And I served this as a side dish, awesome good recipe!
