Husband and I are pretty simple eaters. Meat and potatoes. I do enjoy trying a new recipe on him now and again and have had a few successes. We have a large garden, so canning is a must each year.

"This recipe worked great. I used fresh carrots from my garden and the recipe was easy and tastes wonderful. The only thing I did different for the frosting was I didn't use the 4 cups of powdered sugar, I only used 2 1/2 cups because I wanted it less sweet and more like an icing than a thick frosting. All went well and would highly recommend this one."

"I've had the above recipe 20+ years and love it. Especially at Christmas time because it packs well in my goodie tins that i give out. I bake mine in a bunte cake pan and then sprinkle it with powdered sugar when its cooled and slice it. I too freeze"

Carrot-Walnut Cake

This recipe worked great. I used fresh carrots from my garden and the recipe was easy and tastes wonderful.
