Slow Cooker North Woods Wild Rice Soup
"I cooked this on the stove top instead of the slow cooker and it came out quite well. My family really liked it for a once in a while dish. Next time I will half the sherry or not use it at all. Didn't care for the flavor it added. It will be a keeper for cold weather."

Chili with Corn Dumplings
"Made this just last night. It was really good, and will make it again. Had to use another dumpling recipe since I didn't have Bisquick on hand. Left out cilantro just because I don't like the taste. It had just enough kick to it, making it different than my other chili recipe. A great winter meal."

Slow Cooker Caribbean Spiced Ribs
"Pretty good. I think I might decrease the allspice, and would add liquid smoke. After I put on the sauce, I put them in the oven. It made the sauce thick and it stayed on better. Will try this again. My family was well pleased."

Chicken Noodle Casserole
"Wow! This was fantastic, and will be a great cold weather dish. I tweaked it a bit. My kids do not like mushrooms, so I did not add those, and instead of so many peas I added about 1 cup of frozen mixed carrots and peas, thickend it just a bit with flour. My 12 yr. old son said "Whoa! that was good.""

We liked this. I will put this recipe back for when I need something quick. The only ingredient I would add would be a little onion. My 12yr. old son devoured this.

Spinach and Beef Enchiladas

These were fantastic. While this recipe was simple to put together, defrosting the spinach first is a must! My family really liked these, it's a keeper.

Double-Quick Dinner Rolls
Rating:
I have made these simple to put together rolls many times. We love homemade bread, but sometimes the kneading is more that I have tome for. These turn out well, always moist, even if there are leftovers for the next day.
