"Great recipe and everyone loved them. I just wish they had a shorter name. No one believed me when I told them there was potato chips in them so they *had* to have a second just to see. I cut back on the chips just slightly to ensure the caramel reached the cookie level and the squares didn't fall apart."

"I used melted chocolate for the center layer instead of unsweetened baking chocolate and almond slivers instead of walnuts. They turned out great and I like the unique shape and color in my cookie trays. Very easy recipe to make a double batch of. I used a square pan instead and cut in four columns then sliced off the cookies. They were a good portion and freezing definitely makes the cutting easy."

"I used Hershey buttons for the center of these cookies which turn out like a walnut shortbread. They are pretty but were a lot of work to form. Not sure I'll make these for my trays next year but mostly because I found several other great recipes to use instead."

"This is a wonderful cookie to add color to your cookie trays. I used cranberry jello for a nice bright flavor. I would suggest not chilling them for the full hour or putting the cut cookies on a warm cookie sheet so it spreads. Scissors make for easier cutting than a knife."
