I live in Georgia and love southern food of course but, also like trying new foods as well and was taught to cook by my mother who was a great cook. Memories of her live on in her recipes which I now cook for my family & friends.

"I made this recipe yesterday and they turned out great. They were just sweet enough and taste better today than yesterday. The cookies are crispy around the edges and soft in the middle. I had read some of the reviews about them turning out hard but, I did not have this issue at all. My only complaint would be that the dough was so soft that even spraying the bottom of the glass didn't keep it from sticking to it even with the sugar on it so I just dipped my fingers in a little water and pressed them flat and then sprinkled the sugar on top and also that I didn't even come close to getting 48 cookies and I measured by teaspoon fulls which was the amount my cookies scoop holds and I only got about thirty which was find since there is only myself and my husband. I do think that they need the sugar on top or they might be a little bland. I will certainly make again my husband said they looked and tasted just like his Grandma use to make which is why I made them to recreate that childhood memory for him. "
