"I love this recipe. My entire household has a gluten intolerance, so we cook GF every day. I posted this review only to say that I've tried making this recipe with other substitutes for the GF Bisquick and it never works out as good. So I keep a box on hand solely for this recipe!"

"This is a terrific recipe, GF or otherwise. I only had about 1 and 2/3 cups of Bisquick GF Mix left, so I substituted 1/3 cup of GF vanilla cake mix for the last bit. I also cut the sugar in the cookie dough in half as both mixes contained sugar and the cookie was plenty sweet. Finally, I added 1 tsp each of good Vanilla extract and pure Almond extract. The results were amazing! One hint for those new to using GF flours and mixes, always allowing the dough to rest for a bit produces a more traditional result as the flours have time to absorb the fat and liquid in a recipe. For this recipe, since it's summer I did place the mixer bowl in the freezer for 15 minutes. This made the cookies easy to handle and minimized the spread while in the oven."

"This was a terrific quick dinner. I had a package of chicken tenders and no plans for dinner. So, I cooked the chicken tenders in some water with an onion, a couple of carrots and bay leaves with some chicken soup base (instead of chx stock). When the tenders were cooked through, I removed them and the veggies from the pot and then proceeded with the recipe. The results were really quite good as proclaimed by my hubby and toddler. I did learn that if you let the finished dish sit for a few extra minutes (20-30), the texture of the dumplings further improves to something that is nearly like the "real thing". This will be a dish I turn to again. Thanks Bisquick for making this product, I just found out that I cannot have wheat and this product will make my life, and that of my family, much easier!"
