"I found this recipe in an old cookbook, it isn't Betty Crocker perhaps you could substitute buttermilk for the milk? Grandma's Chocolate Cake 2 cups brown sugar 1 cup milk 3 1 ounce squares chocolate 1/2 c shortening 1 tsp vanilla 3 eggs 2 c sifted enriched"
