"Very easy recipe. I did use a half cup of butter instead of 1/4 cup butter and 1/4 cup shortening. The bf said they were delicious. They were still soft on day two after being stored in a freezer bag on the counter. next time I would like to add cinnamon to the sugar I dipped my dough balls in before flattening them with a fork."

"I did not have any fresh tomatoes on hand so I left those out. I ended up needing to make more of the sauce to coat the vegetables. I think I will coat the vegetables with the sauce prior to putting them on the baking sheet the next time I make them. The pasta had some edges without sauce and those pieces were a little dry and flavorless. The bf said the tomatoes would have been good in this. I really liked the Italian seasoning with the sauce from the chicken picatta I made for the entree. I used bowtie pasta as that is what I had on hand. Overall, this is a good recipe. It would work well without the pasta too. "

"This was a great base recipe. Easy to make. I used fresh chicken sauteed with chili powder, cumin, and garlic. Sauteed fresh peppers and onions. Used corn tortillas which I browned in a skillet to help keep them from turning to mush. Instead of tomato sauce and fajita seasoning, I used homemade salsa that had been deemed too tomatoe-y to eat with chips. It was also spicier than plain tomato sauce which the bf and I both like. The bf took a taste and liked it a lot. He even went back for seconds. His only suggestion was to add fresh jalapenos to the pepper mixture. We do tend to like more meat in our dishes but that could have been helped by chopping the chicken to help spread it out more. I only wish I would have had shredded lettuce and sour cream to top it off with. Plenty of leftovers. I will make this again when it isn't so hot outside."
