"EXCELLENT! The batter was extremely light, but still had plenty of flavor. I will make these time and time again. "

"The patties completely fell apart! It was as if I was cooking asian rice and lentil 'bits' in the pan. Too bad.... I had such high hopes!"

"This recipe will now be part of our Thanksgiving tradition for years to come!! We wanted one recipe that would be a little 'different' in our traditional meal. It is absolutely outstanding and since, we have made it numerous times. You will not be disappointed!"

"This recipe really was great! I had my doubts about the salsa/sour cream 'dressing'-- but it was the perfect blend. I only had a little salsa left, so I just used more sour cream and added the taco seasoning mix right in. This makes a really lovely dinner salad."

"I really liked the beans and ham mixture... but by the time the cornbread topping was finished, the mixture became a bit dry. Definitely skip the cornbread topping and just serve with separate cornbread muffins or rolls. Otherwise, this turned out great."

I am a novice cook and this dish worked out beautifully! It had a great flavor and I even added extra spinach to capitalize on the health benefits. I cut the recipe in half for just two people and it was very filling. I recommend cutting the recipe in half and using this as a sidedish.
