"I made this for dinner last night and was surprised by how good it was considering the simplicity. I will take another reviewer's advice and add a little ginger next time. I also agree that it's inappropriate to show the grill marks on the meat in the picture. The recipe description even states the food is 'steamed'. I made four pouches as the recipe describes and my hubby ate two of them. He said it was very good. Also, I find pineapple preserves very difficult to come by. I have searched for it for other recipes. I keep apricot preserves at home and I used that in place of the pineapple preserves. It came out good anyway. "

"Ok, this was good but this recipe isn't the corn chowder I love and often crave. One, no self-respecting corn chowder wants to be shrouded by carrots and bell peppers. That's offensive to the corn, IMO, so I left those out when I made this chowder. But I wasn't thinking and I should have also left the onions out. Corn chowder is meant to be sweet! This chowder was good, but not sweet and it left a strong taste of onion in my mouth for hours! I would make my modified version of this recipe again, but would NOT put onions in. Also, I didn't think was any chance the potatoes would cook in 4 hours time, so I boiled them for five minutes before adding them to the soup mixture. "
