"I use only a 14.5 oz. can of diced tomatoes. The only veg my kids don't like is onion so I leave those out and add 1 Tbsp of dried minced onion with the garlic powder. I love that we started a Halloween tradition with this recipe. We never know how many people might stop by throughout the night and this is very easy to reheat an individual serving in the microwave. Since the oven is already hot I also make HUGE fresh crab legs. It is a once a year extravagance and those legs are a perfect creepy addition for anyone who does not want to sit down and eat a bowl of Ghost Pie."

"Every time I make this recipe it comes out perfectly. I have even made it with Chicken breasts. Sometimes we put it over brown rice sometimes over egg noodles. No matter what combination of meat/starch my kids always recognize it and are quick to the table for dinner."
