Slow Cooker Pork Chops with Apple Chutney The flavor was excellent, but the apples were a bit softer than I like. In the future, I will cook the apples separate. I also like my sauce thicker so I removed it from the slow cooker and reduced in a sauce pan on the stove after adding a little more brown sugar and about a tablespoon of butter. It went over really well with the adults, but when I fix it for my young nieces I will omit the hot pepper.
