Loaded au Gratin Potatoes
"these potatoes are amazing! i used skim milk instead of 1/2 and 1/2 and colby jack cheese instead of regular jack. i also skipped the bread crumb topping to simplify it. it's so bacony and delicious!"

Fresh Strawberry Pie
"i made this pie like the recipe says and it looked beautiful! then i cut the first piece and it turned into "swamp-berry pie." next time instead of pouring the sugar mixture into the pie, i'm going to toss the strawberries with it, then carefully scoop them out to avoid the excess liquid. but i have to say that even though it's a mess to serve, this pie tastes amazing!"

Spicy Szechuan Noodles
"AMAZING! i made it using regular linguine pasta and shrimp instead of the pork. so quick and easy too. even someone totally new to cooking could make this incredible dish. the spicy peanut flavor is so good!"

Impossibly Easy Taco Pie
"really good, but it tasted like it was missing something. black olives and salsa helped. next time i'll try using jalapenos instead of the green chiles. i think taco sauce would be another good addition."

Easy Sloppy Joe Pot Pie
"i made this tonight for me and my boyfriend. it was amazing!!! he raved about it and had 3 helpings (he couldn't resist the 3rd). i added 1/2 of a green bell pepper, chopped, when i cooked the beef and onions. i think i might add mexicorn next time. i also substituted colby jack cheese for the cheddar. i don't have an oven proof skillet so i baked it in an 8x8 glass baking dish. so easy and delicious!!!"

Chocolate-Peanut Butter-Banana Cookies
Rating:
these cookies are absolutely amazing! i omitted the frosting because i didn't want them to be too sweet. they were perfect without it. i used bananas that had a lot of brown spots to really give it a good banana flavor. they were so easy to make too. i will definitely make them again soon!

Italian Sausage with Tomatoes and Penne
Rating:
This is my new favorite pasta dish! Looks nothing like in the picture though. I used sweet Italian sausage and omitted the squash (I'm not a squash person). The tomatoes make a light tomato sauce, which tastes great with all the basil. My Italian boyfriend gave it his seal of approval.

Quick Candy Cookie Sticks
Rating:
Very quick and easy to make. A lot easier to make than traditional chocolate chip cookies because you don't have to keep scraping out the spoon that you use to drop the dough onto the cookie sheet. These are also the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever eaten!

Ramen Stir-Fry
Rating:
simple to make, great flavor. i used shrimp instead of beef. my boyfriend loved it. my only problem was it was too salty for me. i think omitting the seasoning packet will fix that. ramen seasoning is usually very salty to begin with. other than that, this recipe is a keeper!
