Valentine Rolled Cookies
"These were absolutely delicious. Chilling the dough is definitely necessary, as the large quantity of butter can make it stick to the counter relatively easily, even when floured. Once you chill it in the fridge, it's actually helpful to put the dough you're not using into the freezer while you work with small portions at a time. It was also extremely helpful to have two people, as it let us work with the dough faster before it warmed up. These taste great. Sweet, but not cloyingly so. Soft and chewy - definitely check these at 4.5 to 5 minutes. Decorating icing is a really nice touch - not only for a cute personal flare, but also to add a little bit of moisture and a different flavor. Oh, and one last tip - making them a little thicker makes them easier to handle. We still wound up with over 75 cookies, even though we rolled them out thicker than 1/8 inch."

Beef and Bean Pot Pie
"simple and tasty, kind of like a thick, sweet chili. i only had a 13x9 baking dish handy and had to double the crust recipe to make it fit. also, i didn't have tomato sauce, so i used a 6 oz can of tomato paste and simply added water until it was a good consistency. i think this actually made my filling thicker, which was really enjoyable."

Decadent Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Sauce
"Made this the other night for a special occasion. Came out delicious! I accidentally picked up milk chocolate chips instead of semisweet, so it was a lot brighter than in the picture, but was otherwise delicious. Will try with semisweet next time. The idea of a meringue cake was definitely new to me, but everyone raved about it. Definitely need the raspberry sauce, though! Cake is rather dry without it. I did struggle a little with the chocolate topping. I wound up adding more butter and some unsweetened chocolate I had on hand and finally got the consistency right, but then I needed to add sugar to restore the sweetness. I found that adding milk by the teaspoon helped me adjust the consistency until it was just right and the whole thing was smooth and glossy. Also poked some holes with a toothpick to help some of it seep into the cake itself."

Berry Pirouette
"Words cannot describe how wonderful this dish was. We were hosting a dinner party where the main course was a VERY rich and heavy beef stew with pasta. We needed something light and delicate to end the night and this was the perfect choice. It was a bit of a process to make, but I actually had fun putting it together! I couldn't find boysenberries, so I used 1/2 raspberries and 1/2 blackberries. I even lucked out and found "Blackberry Raspberry Fusion" Jell-O to really seal the deal. For an extra-special treat, use the pirouette cookies filled with French Vanilla cream. It came out just like the picture and was a wonderful success."

Lemon-Raspberry Cream Bars
"I'd probably give these only a 4/5 myself, but I made them nearly six months ago and I'm still getting compliments! They weren't hard to make at all and they were gone in no time."

Easy Grasshopper Bars
Rating:
These were a bit hit. The cookie part was fine, but the icing was a bit runny. I used 1/3 reduced fat cream cheese and healthy margarine spread instead of butter, so that's probably what did it. Still tasted great, it just won't set properly for all you out there trying to cut back on your treats! The one thing that I just couldn't make taste right was the chocolate topping. Unsweetened baker's chocolate and butter do not make a good combination in my opinion. I followed another reviewer's tip and just drizzled them with Hershey's chocolate syrup. There were no complaints!

Lemon Dream Tassies
Rating:
These were amazing, they got such rave reviews. They look really classy, but aren't all that difficult to make. You really need to watch your cookie cups, though. I did mine one pan at a time, in case I ruined them, and they were done in about 9 minutes or so. They're still fantastic and crumbly even if a little darker than shown in the picture. Also, I used more curd than the recipe calls for (I went through 2 10-oz jars for one recipe, lime and lemon) but it felt like just the right amount.
