I make this quite often except I bake them in a 425 degree oven for about 15 min, and use my own breadcrumbs (which are fresher).

There are other types of shortcakes, but nothing has ever compared to your recipe. I grew up on this recipe, and I''m always looking for new ideas, but to me this is what constitutes true shortcake.
