"The previous review is correct. You cannot make this cake without removing the divider before baking. You make the first and third layers with color 1 in the outer and inner rings and color 2 in the middle. You make the second layer reversing the colors (color 2 in outer and inner ring and color 1 in the middle). You carefully and quickly remove the rings and bake each layer. You wash the ring between pans. The layers are then alternated with top and bottom layers one design and the center layer the other. I am making this for St. Patrick''s Day with green and white cake. It is time consuming but a ''WOW'' at the table."

"This is a great recipe. You can save time by substituting alfredo sauce from a jar and skipping step 1. I use ricotta and mozzarella, whole wheat noodles and shrimp and crab meat. I do however use much more seafood than the recipe calls for. Be careful with whole wheat noodles: you will need a bit more sauce than with plain noodles. I add an extra 1/2 cup of milk (skim) and 1/2 cup of broth. It is a great company dinner but almost too good to share."

"My husband and I had this on a week night and it was terrific. We added more veggies: extra onions, garlic and celery to keep down the calories. We used hot and spicy chicken sausage and 2 lbs. of thawed jumbo shrimp. We did omit the hot sauce as the sausage gave it enough burn! We will make this again and would use it for entertaining. Thanks."
