"I baked these this afternoon. I made the following modifications: I used butter instead of the no trans-fat 68% vegetable oil spread (the stuff is mostly chemicals) I used 2 eggs (Betty Crocker tend to like their cookies DRY for whatever reason) I used Grade B maple syrup because I had no honey in the house. They came out light and soft. I'm going to make a second batch with white chocolate chips and I'll add vanilla to the next batch for a more decadent flavor."

"I made this recipe this morning. I substituted the vegetable oil for olive oil. I also added some blueberries once the batter was mixed to my satisfaction. They are light and delicious!"

"I don't know why Betty Crocker like their cookies dry. I followed the recipe except that I didn't have cinnamon. I used one extra egg and they came out nice and soft. I've been munching on them for days now and they are still soft and delicious. I recommend using the "slow" cook oats opposed to the quick oats for more substance."

"After screwing up the first time (used less butter than I should have), I made them the second time and they are great! I did use a second egg because the batter seemed too dry, but they came out great!"
