Slow-Cooker Tuscan Turkey and Beans
This is actually pretty good. It is a little bland, but sometimes bland is okay. It would need a little heat if you don't like bland. I veered away from the exact ingredients called for. Had the beans, but also had a few dried white butter beans so I put them in, too. Used dried parsley flakes, about 2/3 C; less garlic, minced a good 2 Tbl; about 1C of ckicken broth; guessed at the salt and pepper as I usually don't add alot of either and correct the seasonings during the cooking process. My turkey piece was frozen and I didn't thaw it. I actually put everything together in the cooker (6 quart) started on low around 8am. Instead of green beans, I used carrot chunks and put them in after lunch. Stirred it a couple of times. Thought it was going to be soupy, but the last coupled of hours it really cooked down. Turned it off around 630pm. It was great!!!
