"I forgot to give a rating, 5 spoons from me! Just wish the frosting was easier to find, neither Jewel or WalMart carry it...one store only in my area has it and I never shop there, my neighbor found it for me."

"This is so easy and so tasty! Have to admit the first batch of frosting I purchased from Amazon, then found out Target had it on their shelves. I get many requests for the recipe and have shared!"

"I forgot to mention that instead of spraying a cookie sheet, I used parchment paper. While it has a slightly different end result, you could always spray with cooking spray before popping them in oven if you wanted to; I just use parchment paper when baking or even reheating anything in the oven"

"I gave this a 3 because if I'd followed the recipe, it would've been a bland meal. Southwest to me means spicy. While browning the meat I added granulated garlic and I used 1 medium onion and 2 jalapeno peppers I had frozen from the garden for a kick. I also added about 2 cups of the hash browns. I chopped the carrots coarsely after draining and rinsing them. Next time I would use fresh carrots run through the food processor. It looked lacking so I added 1 can of tomato paste to meat mixture. I needed extra water while mixing the Bisquick in order to get a doughy consistency. I topped the meat mixture off with shredded cheddar before sealing the pockets. All told, from start to putting them in the oven took me 45-60 minutes, but it was worth it. I ended up with 9 pockets instead of 6 and still had meat mixture left over. I filled the dough pockets generously, more than 1/2 cup of mixture. My husband, who is a machinist rolled the dough out for me, so I know he rolled out 7-inch circles. Precision is his middle name. We would make again."

"Have to admit I read a lot of your reviews and decided to go with mostly fresh veggies (2 med red potatos, 2 carrots, 1 celery stalk, 1/3 large onion), frozen peas, 1 small can Green Giant Niblets, 1 can each low-fat cream of chicken & mushroom. Decided to make double crust pot pie too with Pillsbury pie crust. Had a little left over mixture so put that in a 1-1/2 qt casserole and covered with 2 crescent rolls. I cooked all the veggies in the microwave for 10 minutes, mixed the soups & chicken with some granulated garlic and thyme. The double crust pie took about 1-hour at 350 while the smaller one cooked in 30. My husband had never had a pot pie before. We ate the smaller one since it was done first and he liked that one. The sauce was the desired consistency. Said he would eat it again (which is a good thing since we have another whole pie to eat). Thanks to all of you who took the time to review this recipe for the tips."

Slow-Cooker Steak and Black Bean Chili

I used flank steak, 1 can of black and 1 can of pinto beans in addition of fresh jalopeno peppers out of the garden (I wanted to make this and didn't want to make a trip to the store). The meat was very tender, easy to make and it was done in approximately 4 hours. My husband was surprised that it didn't have actual onions in it and suggested that for the next time, he also said that he would like the meat cut smaller next time and try a different type of steak. All in all it is a keeper.
