Community Debate: Is homemade caramel worth it or not?
"Definately worth it! I've been making home made caramels for years. I use a candy thermometer....but I also use the water test just to be sure. You can actually tell if they are ready by the color. I make them thoughout the year when the mood strikes"

"When we remodeled our kitchen, I had a special compost collection place put in. I had a large hole (6 inches) cut into the countertop, and fitted it with a stainless steel grommet. There is a wooden lid on top. When I prepare fruits/vegetable, I cut them"

question on ingredients for Cookie Contest
"I agree that 2 eggs would count as one ingredient. I also think that the basic ingredients (oil or butter, egg) needed for the cookie mix count toward the 10. What do you think about water as an ingredient? Should it count towards the 10? Food for thought"
