"HELP! I remember making this years ago and got the urge to make it yesterday. After panicking when I couldn't find the recipe on the box, I came oniine and found it. YAY. But the consistency was different from what I remember. I'd read reviews about making doulbe streusel an putting a layer of it in the middle of the coffee cake also, and that sounded like a great idea. But the batter turned out SO THICK and kinda sticky - like a thick bread dough rather than a pourable cake batter. I had to put it in pan as a ball and stretch it out with my fingers to the edge of the pan. I had even added a little more liquid that it called for because it was hard to stir it was so thick. HOW in the world did some of you manage to put half the dough in pan, spread a layer of streusel and then put a top layer on top of that? I followed recipe online exactly but it was a very hard consistency to work with. Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!"
