"Oh, and P.S. -as far as the "whoopie pie" part, I'd guess that when these were kitchen tested, they used a good serrated knife to cut off the lumpy tops of bottom cookies in order to ensure that the tops stayed on. Personally, I just made twice as many "covered cookies," which I quite preferred because they are easier to eat, and you have 2x as many of these delicious treats! Enjoy:)"

"These were absolutely scrumptious, after adding more pumpkin & spice as reviewers rightly suggested! - And, it's not rocket science folks ... it is just like if you were serving an ice cream pie. Would you leave it out on the table? Noooo. You serve these, as you would an ice cream dessert, right from the freezer. Then, immediately after serving, you return it back to the freezer. This is how you prevent the "RUNNING" on these cookies (those living in warmer climates may have had to eat them a lot quicker than those of us up north)but, TOTALLY worth it!!!"

"Excellent and Easy Peppery Dish... I made this and my 21-yr.-old and I gobbled it up! This comes together quick and yet has complex flavors for those who love spicey! A few changes that work for me: as ALWAYS I switch capers for green peas, and I nixed the green olives (too olivey unless you're going for an olive salad). I threw in a can of well rinsed tiny shrimp that I always douse in lemon juice to take away the "canned" taste, and it was DELISH!!!!!!!!!"
