"I love to make Hoppin' John black eyed peas for New Years! This recipe is a great as a base. I alter it by substituting ham hocks for smoked turkey parts and Andoulli chicken sausage in stead of the smoked pork sausage. I also add celery to this recipe to add that extra flavor. Love it!!"
