"I made these with Wild Strawberry gelatin and they came out pink rather than red. Chilling them for one hour made them quite difficult to cut and spread apart slightly without the petals actually breaking apart. It was easier after they'd been out of the fridge for five minutes or so. Definitely place these the recommended 2 inches apart on the cookie sheets as they spread more than expected. I baked mine for 11 minutes (they didn't look brown yet), and they were very dry and hard, so I'd lean towards under cooking rather than overcooking them. I think the gelatin probably already makes them a tougher cookie. Note: the gelatin gives these cookies an artificial flavor. My house didn't enjoy them because of this. They look pretty, but I'll probably end up throwing most of them out and won't make them again for this reason."

"These turned out well, but have a slightly store bought taste due to using the cake mix as a starter. I used regular instant coffee (not expresso), and they were plenty coffee-flavored for me. Also used about 1.5 times the chocolate chips. I used Heath Bar toffee bits - next time I will try to find real English toffee, as the Heath bits taste very artificial."
