Turkey Cupcakes
"I wanted to amend my below review to add - if you aren't serving these right away, wait to put the candy corn in place. I don't know if it was the brand I used (Brachs) or some other factor, but several of them melted into a sugary puddle after sitting at room temperature (covered in a tote), and then even after being refrigerated awhile to harden them up. It was still a success though - after all, I made them for five-year-olds, and they're not too picky!"

Turkey Cupcakes
"I made these cupcakes last night for my son's Fall party which is this afternoon. I found the directions to be straight forward and easy to follow. The canned decorative icing (for the whites of the eyes) was a bit difficult to control at times - leading to the occasional large blobby eyes. The reason I wanted to write this review however was to share my disheartening experience when I woke up this morning and checked on them: the candy corn had seemingly melted on several of the turkeys, leading to missing feathers and beaks. I put all of the cupcakes in an enclosed cupcake tote at room temperature. I can only hope they'll retain shape by staying in the refrigerator until the party... "

Make-Ahead Breakfast Burritos
"Very easy, foolproof recipe. I think there's a lot of room for variation (might add jalapeños next time). I made two batches to freeze and have for quick on-the-go breakfasts. I used cooked, diced ham in one batch as opposed to sausage and it turned out great. Will definitely make again!"

Fiery Fettuccine (<I>lighter recipe</I>)
"One of my absolute favorite pasta recipes. I omit the cajun seasoning and used cayenne pepper instead. Quite a bit spicier than my husband can tolerate, but my 8yo enjoyed it! There were no leftovers. "

Three-Cheese Beef Pasta Shells
"I had pretty high hopes for this dish. It went together easy enough (I tried the ziploc bag method recommended by others, and I found that using some gloves and a spoon worked much faster), but the taste was lacking. In my opinion, the cream cheese was overpowering. Extremely overpowering. I think it would have been better if it was just the sauce, shredded cheese, and beef. I highly doubt I'll be making this one again. "

Black-and-White Truffles
Rating:
I have made this before with slight variations (I crushed the oreo cookies up in a bag, omitted the almond bark from the inner mixture, and did not use oil when melting the chocolate) - and it is amazing! I've taken these truffles to various pot lucks and get togethers, and people demand the recipe. I also didn't freeze mine - I crushed the mixture, mixed with cream cheese, formed the truffles, laid them on wax paper, melted the almond bark, dipped, laid back on wax paper, then drizzled the melted chocolate. Might cut down on some time!

Easy, and delicious! As a fan of spicy foods, this dish was a real treat to my palate. I substituted cayenne for cajun seasoning, and added more than was needed. Great recipe!
