"I substituted 3/4 cup Splenda instead of sugar and also substituted 3/4 cup FLAX in place of the canola oil. Less calories per slice plus HALF the carbs and DOUBLE the fiber and protein. My teenager gave me props even AFTER I admitted I used sugar substitute. =) PS. Left the nuts out and mixed in 1/2 cup chocolate chips! "
