"Definitely a family favorite! I make a 1/2 recipe in a 9x9 pan. What doesn't get eaten up immediately is pretty good cold and portable for breakfast on the run. I use olive oil instead of butter, skim milk and reduced fat cheese. We like Provolone for one layer and a Colby/Jack mix for the rest. Great for leftover meats, from ham lunchmeat to chopped bratwurst. Mixing dillweed and pepper into the dry Bisquick adds a pop of flavor. Don't bother with the nutmeg. On top of the last layer of cheese, we sometimes use mushrooms and chopped scallions, or tomatoes and parsley....lots of options. Haven't met anyone who doesn't like this!"
