Slow Cooker Beef Roast with Bacon-Chili Gravy
"I don't know why this only has three stars, because it is amazing! I usually make a roast in the slow cooker the same way, but I decided to try some new roast recipes. I never brown my roasts or anything before I put them in, and I used bacon you can cook in the microwave in 25 sec. anyway, so it worked out. I let it cook for 8 hours on high (that's what I usually cook roasts at) and it was fine. Made with boiled potatoes and boiled fresh green beans and some buttered bread. SO good."

Chicken Florentine Skillet
"Made this is rotini pasta instead of the wheels (store didn't have wheel pasta). It had an okay flavor, but this wasn't really my cup of tea. I probably won't make it again. It was very fast and easy to make though."

Roasted Rosemary-Onion Potatoes
"So good! I made it to go with sloppy joes and they were really great. I used...I don't know. They were just yellow potatoes. :)"

Speedy Ravioli Bake
"Tasted good and it is nice and quick as well. I made a French bread loaf to go with it (used refrigerated dough; I would suggest cooking the bread first, as it takes a lower temp and 26-30 min. to cook in the oven and then the oven can just heat the rest of the way while you start the rest of the dinner). A light little salad either in addition to or instead of the bread would be good too."

Made for a Hamburger/Hotdog potluck I went to where I was asked to bring a side or dessert. These were perfect! They were really good and everybody loved them. The whole pot got eaten.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff
Rating:
My husband didn't like it, but I thought this was fantastic. One of the most delicious things to come out of my crock pot! :) There wasn't any cream of onion, so I used French onion soup (which I'm sure made the sauce a little bit liquidier than it would have been). I added the sour cream and the cream cheese one hour before it was done, to try to get it to dissolve better. It helped, but there were still some lumps in it. I think next time I would soften the cream cheese a bit in the microwave. Also added a bit of flour to help thicken it at the same time.

Louisiana Chicken and Pasta

I agree with some of the other comments. This didn't have a bad taste, but it was overall just okay. It did need a sauce or cheese or something. I made it with the pasta, not rice.

Butter Rum-Glazed Applesauce Cake
Rating:
The cake is good, and everything is easy to make. However, I thought that the rum flavor was too strong, a bit overpowering. If I make it again, I would put in less...probably at least half what asked for.

Slow Cooker Cowboy Stew
Rating:
This was delicious. And even for a slow cooker meal, this was super simple and fast. I didn't have a problem finding the barbecue beans; I just got Bush's Grilling Beans in the barbecue flavor. The can was big, but it wasn't 28 oz., so I also got the smallest can of baked beans to put in as well.
